Dreams were my first introduction to the spirit world. I had just come out of a traumatic period in my life and needed to know there was more to life than what could be seen because at that particular point, life had no point. I remember the exact moment I appealed to God to show me the answers. I began having highly symbolic dreams of whales, dolphins, sparkly writings on blackboards, levitating blue lapis lazuli stones, traveling to other places on trains, buses, and elevators, and being in class with no books or writing utensils. I recorded everything. I would wake up with phrases and messages that would later be found to be prophetic. Each day I woke up, I felt like there was more of me than the day before. My dream world eventually began to manifest in my physical world through the process of meditation. It was almost as if they were waiting for me to ask for help, because the door was flung open to a whole new world for which there was no return. Because I was ready. But the initial contact was through dreams.

If your loved one really wants to communicate with you, they will do so by trying to get your attention with favorite or private words or sayings that only you know. They try to make it clear that it is them. But communicating with your loved one can be a two way street where you can initiate communication with them. The only thing required is a sitting of quiet and undisturbed time. Devote a half hour where you can sit undisturbed quietly. You can have with you a photo or something special to honor their memory. Then sit and breathe quietly to quiet your mind. Once you feel at peace, invite your loved one in. Allow yourself to feel their energy. You might feel a tingle or a chill. Wait until you get some kind of sign that they are with you. Then begin a dialogue. Ask a question, and wait for a response quietly. Note the images and emotions you receive, and trust them. That is how spirit communicates. With practice, you can become very good at this and actually discern their messages from your thoughts.

There are so many famous psychic mediums that I love. Each of them have great qualities and I love hearing about their experiences. But when they start talking about what happens after we die with staunch conviction and expertise, they lose me. There is and will never be one way. I have witnessed the passing of my dog in my lap, and I saw and knew that she received assistance out of her body through her mouth. Her lips were pulled back and her mouth opened unnaturally wide and then she went lifeless. And I was at peace to have witnessed her departure because I knew she was in very good hands. I did not witness my mother cross over but as we drove to her burial place, I saw a license plate with her brother’s name on it, and I knew that he was there for her when she left her body. It is my belief, which I developed through my own experiences, that we are never left to our own devices when it is our time to leave our body. But I do not know if this is true for everyone. Imagine if a soul has no belief in the afterlife. That soul will not see the helpers. I believe there are as many ways to pass as there are people and their perceptions of what will come at the final hour. Every bit of information that a medium receives has to pass through their own filters of belief so no information is pure. Just because a medium can receive images, emotions, words, and other various impressions of a loved one in spirit does not make them an expert on life or death. It is like a court reporter transcribing an energetic hearing. It won’t be 100% accurate, but enough can be recorded that will provide evidence that a hearing took place. Tonight I was watching a medium be interviewed as she spoke with authority about something I knew was not accurate, and I am blessed that I was able to look past that as I could see she had the truest intentions at heart. And I did learn a lot from her sharing her own personal experiences.

I always record my dreams, even the ones that don’t make sense. I know they always mean something, and I know if I don’t record them, I will forget them. Then I peruse them months (and sometimes years) later and they are then as clear as day. A week ago I dreamt I was being given a person’s psychic file for review. I forgot about the dream. Yesterday, after giving an email reading, it occurred to me that I should begin giving email readings. My focus was right there in the records, I was not distracted by the live person in front of me (and the never ending fear that nothing would come), and the reading was successful. (Still didn’t recall dream). My job profession has always been in law either as a paralegal or secretary. My favorite thing to do is research. I can get lost in boxes of documents and intuitively find those “hot docs” that are critical for the case. I once had to travel to the Dominican Republic and review banking documents in Spanish (I did not speak Spanish), but I was still able to find and pull those “hot docs” – it helped that Spanish can be phonetically similar to English. But it is my forte. This kind of reading would be perfect for me! I’m so brilliant! LOL. So today, I was perusing my dream journal while drinking my morning coffee, and there it was – I was being given someone’s psychic file for review. The idea I thought was so brilliant had been planted a week ago, and I would have forgotten if I hadn’t written it down. I once heard in my mind while waking up that dreams are dress rehearsals for life. Don’t forget the dreams.

I sat with my guide communicating this evening. Afterwards, I wanted to get on the elliptical exercise machine and process the messages while I watched TV. But I couldn’t find the remote. It was not under the couch, in the couch, or anywhere else I could trace my steps to. I asked Sam for help which is an automatic response when I need something. I decided to go upstairs and get my bedroom TV remote to see if that would work downstairs, and when I came downstairs, the remote was right there on my coffee table on my Tarot card set. It was not there before because I lifted the card set to make sure it wasn’t around it. I lifted everything on that little coffee table so I was sure it was not there. The remote was placed on my Tarot Card set. I have had things like this happen before but they are not a frequent occurrence. It is a little mind boggling and seriously exciting at the same time!

In one of my lucid dreams with my guide, I was with a group of people and we were saving children spirits. An actual child was sent in to save one of the lost spirits, and we were concerned not to lose the child who was the rescuer. I knew I was being trained on the subject but was not sure why at the time. I also had an aunt who passed and saw in my dream that she was lost. She kept going back to her kitchen because she didn’t know where else to go. I knew I was being asked to help her, but at the time I didn’t know how to. It was several years later that I began my mediumship development. Recently, I have been obsessed with paranormal investigation. My passion for it indicates that there is something there for me, but I am not a thrill seeker, so I couldn’t quite figure out what it was. I asked my guide for clarity on the subject. I got my answer today. I was listening to an audiobook by a not very famous medium I highly regard. She was discussing spirit rescue and how to perform it. She began by saying that most mediums who are interested in paranormal investigation are being called for spirit rescue. I felt the truth of this. And I recalled when several weeks back, I visited the Maryland Veterans Cemetery and there were so many spirits there who were unhappy and felt forgotten. I didn’t know I was doing it at the time, but I was attempting to help them. I actually spoke out loud to them and said they needed to get to the light because there was so much work for them to do on the other side that would fulfill their souls. I felt very emotional afterwards. Tomorrow, I am going to a very old cemetery from the 17th century. If I feel anyone there, I will ask if they want help. If they do, at least now I know how to help them.

I know I am a medium. I know that when someone comes to me for a reading, I will generally be able to identify their loved ones in spirit to them, so long as their loved ones agree and want to communicate. But I have a compelling urge to constantly practice. There are many Facebook Pages where photographs are provided and family members provide feedback but sometimes I want to make direct contact without photos. My guide suggested I ask famous people to step forward and provide gems of information not widely known, but known enough that I could research and find on the internet. While I think this is a great idea, I didn’t purposely do it – it just kind of happened. Lately, I have been attracted to news about Paul McCartney and his family, so today I was watching an interview of him and his daughters, and they were speaking about Linda McCartney. So I sat down to do my practice tonight and it occurred to me to see if she would come through. I asked, and she did. She gave me six pieces of information about her that I didn’t know and had to confirm. The first part is what I got and the second part is what I found on the internet. 1) the color pink: for breast cancer; 2) Horses: she loved riding and rode her favorite horse the day before she died; 3) she did something with her hands – played keyboard in Wings; 4) she has 1 brother – she does; 5) Stella was sick as baby – Linda had previa placenta while delivering Stella and it was a very scary birth during which Paul thought of Angels and that’s where he got the name of his band Wings. There was one more item that I won’t mention, however it was accurate. I was moved with gratitude that she came through and look forward to who will be sent my way next.

Yesterday, I was working doing a part of my job that I do everyday that puts me in “automatic pilot” mode where my mind kind of goes blank. For no reason, I found myself decades in the past in the Rascal House, a Miami Beach Deli, with an old friend, Joe, from a 12-step program I was a member of. He was 40 years my senior but he helped a lot of people in the program. He had failing health, a bad back, and not a lot of money so I used to go and visit him and take him to breakfast, and bring my massage table (I was also a licensed LMT) to give him neuromuscular therapy on his back, while we watched Hill Street Blues. He passed away shortly after that time. There was no reason for me to be thinking of this, (with emphasis on my acts of kindness – I don’t think like that) but my medium mind woke up and I realized Joe was making a little visit and thanking me for my kindness! Once I got that, he came in stronger and I could feel his humor. He feigned being impressed that I could engage him. I responded with emotions of love and goodwill, sent him blessings, and then he was gone. When the mind is free, pay attention to what enters. Especially when it’s “out of the blue”. Your loved ones will surely come calling!
